- We are going to be at both CNCH (May 18-20) in Oakland, and Convergence (July 17-21) in Long Beach. Please stop by our booth as there will be all sorts of new items
- We just got in Colcolastic. This is a very nice elastic cotton from the Dutch company Venne. As soon as they arrived, they were shipped to CNCH. So, no photos yet. But we ordered approx. 50 colors on small spools (150 meters). Since elastic yarns should be used here and there, one or two small spools are enough for a project. The price is $5/spool
- We just came back from Italy where we were able to meet with an local silk mill. We are going to bring in some of their beautiful yarns hopefully in time for Convergence. Primarily, we are getting a yarn with a type of ply called Jaspe’ where one of the yarns is unevenly thicker and plyed more loosely giving the yarn a very interesting slubby texture. I picked a series of yarns with contrasting and variegated colors.
- We also have a few kumihimo findings. They just arrived and will not be able to post photos for a while, but I will have them with me at CNCH. The findings are both round and flat in various sizes. Call for size and prices
- Do not forget to also experiment with out our fine steel mesh
- Great for surface embellishments or to incorporate into wearables or sculptural work. Currently available in one size only, but we are exploring the feasibility of wider cuts.
- It can be embossed, folded, colored
- One meter (1.1 yard) x 20cm. $15
